Ms. Bader is the owner of TALK WORKS! Mediation Services, a mediation practice serving the Greater Cincinnati area. Her practice focuses on the resolution of family, civil, community and organizational disputes with a concentration in end-of-life conflict resolution*.

Background |
Following a career as a change agent for organizations and small businesses Ms. Bader turned her energies to the specifics of conflict resolution.
In their 2003 research report, The Occurrence & Resolution of Conflict In End of Life Care, Marie Bader and Barry Thomas examine the tough questions that arise and the decisions that must be made in end-of-life situations. The subject of conflict in end-of-life care is highly individualized. Conflict occurs at many levels, between patient and family member, between or among family members, between patient, family, and service provider, between service providers, and at legal and policy levels. There are many perspectives, often deeply felt, on the issues of treatment, decision authority, and the use of medical resources. Mediation can assist the parties in clarifying the issues and reaching an understanding that meets the best interest of all involved.
